September 17-19, 2021
A weekend of Contra dancing, English Country dancing,
couples dancing, kayaking & hiking at the beautiful
Silver Bay YMCA in Lake George, NY!
The rules and guidelines regarding COVID restrictions and vaccination are ever-changing, but currently local, state and CDC guidelines allow gatherings such as Adirondack Dance Weekend if all attendees are vaccinated. The broad availability of vaccines, combined with encouraging rising vaccination numbers and lowering infection rates, have led to the decision to move forward with ADK 2021. With care, we believe it’s possible for us to come together once again and safely share our love for traditional music and dance. Should conditions change, making it unsafe to hold the event, we will provide full refunds.
During registration, you must attest that you are fully vaccinated or will be two weeks out from your last dose by Sept. 17. You must then follow up by bringing proof of vaccination with you to the weekend, without which you will not be admitted. If you are a New York State resident, we will accept the NYS Excelsior Pass, either loaded on a smartphone app or as a printed QR code, in conjunction with ID. (Visit https://epass.ny.gov for instructions.) Absent that, you must bring your completed vaccination card and ID. In addition, you will be required to accept a waiver during registration which you will sign upon arrival.
If you have a medical condition which prevents you from being vaccinated, please contact us prior to registration to discuss accommodations. A physician’s note, negative COVID test prior to the event, and mask-wearing will be required.
There will be other parties using the Silver Bay Retreat Center facilities while we are there. Since Silver Bay does not currently have a vaccination requirement, there may be people on the campus who are not vaccinated. Meals are served at set times and everyone eats in the same dining hall. If you are staying at the Inn or the William Boyd Center, please be aware there may be other parties staying there, not associated with our group, who may not be vaccinated. We cannot guarantee that all spaces at Silver Bay will be limited to vaccinated individuals, but all dance areas will. If you have questions about these arrangements, please contact us at:
Adirondack@danceflurry.org or (518) 441-3667
For housing information, call (518) 902-6584 (9:00 am to 9:00 pm ET please)
A limited number of Millennial/Youth Scholarships are available (you must be 38 or younger, and a first time attendee). Select “Youth Scholarship” as your housing option.
We encourage payment in full at registration, and you can receive a full refund for any reason until August 5. You will also receive a full refund if we need to cancel the weekend due to low enrollment or Covid-19 concerns. After August 5, refunds for other reasons are not possible.
