DanceFlurry Youth Outreach!
One of our goals as an organization is to act as a catalyst for individuals and groups who want to develop traditional music and dance events in our region. To that end, we can put our organizational support behind your idea to promote our common goals.
Have an idea for an event in the Greater Capital Region that brings families, youth (up through college age), or adults with disabilities in contact with traditional music or dance? Apply for a DF-YO! Grant!
Note: If you have an idea for an event that brings together adults and/or community, please see the section on Community grants.
Grants up to $500 are available. Examples of events include:
- teaching dance in physical education classes
- hosting a Family dance or concert night with a live band
- teaching participants how to play traditional music.
Submissions are accepted year-round until the annual budget allocation is used. Email:YouthOutreach@danceflurry.org if you need suggestions to get started or help finding a band or instructor.
