* 7-8pm – Swing Dance Lesson by Sarrah Aliewie. No partner needed. Great for beginners.
* 8-10:30pm – Dance to the Teresa Broadwell Quintet
Albany Elks, 25 S Allen St, Albany, NY 12208 (1 block south of Rt. 20 Madison/Western)
Cost: $20 General, $15 Student, 65+ Senior, DFO Member
Talk about a bargain for a swing dance with a GREAT LIVE BAND and EXPERT INSTRUCTORS.
Beginners: Take the 7pm lesson in East Coast Swing. You’ll be dancing with nice people within the hour!

Sarrah Aliewie dance bio: I found swing dancing and absolutely fell in love with it. I began traveling to any dance event I could find to take workshops and social dance. In the past year I’ve been attending events everywhere from North Carolina to Montréal and everywhere in between. I can’t wait to share everything I’ve learned with people who love dancing just as much as I do!!

Proof of vaccine is no longer required. Stay home if you feel sick, or were in close contact with someone who tested positive. Masks are not required, but are welcome.Volunteers needed! Please contact us if you’d be interested in being on the Albany 1st Friday Swing Dance committee and helping with the dance, especially with take down.
Ambassador Program: The DFO has established this program to welcome all people, especially beginners, to our dances. For more information, please ask at the front desk.
