The series will feature different art forms each week in an engaging light-hearted way. “Young at Heart” will take place outside at Dewey Hall. This event is funded in part by a grant from the DanceFlurry Organization. \nAbout Intergenerational Family Dance:  Come kick up your heels to live fiddle music.  Enjoy a tradition of community dancing and music handed down from generation to generation. We play music and get everyone involved – from ages 2 to 102 — especially those who have not danced before\, in easy-to-learn American barn dance favorites: circles\, squares\, contras (all modified for physical — not social — distancing)\, as well as a few international folk (French\, African\, Turkish\, Chinese\, Russian\, Israeli\, Polynesian\, Scandinavian\, Latin American\, and more) dances. \nThe toe-tapping music consists of reels\, jigs\, polkas\, hornpipes\, and waltzes.  While participation in the dancing is encouraged — and it’s hard to sit still — it’s fun to just listen to the music and watch too!
