Albany Sacred Harp All-Day Singing

The Albany, NY area shape-note singers are thrilled to invite you to our convention on Saturday, October 15, 2022. We will be singing from The Sacred Harp, 1991 Denson edition. This is a one-day event, held in beautiful, historic Hubbard Hall in Cambridge, NY. We will have dinner on the grounds and a Social on Saturday evening. Cambridge is a lovely small village with local shops, antique stores and pubs. La Placita Cantina (Mexican restaurant) and The Valley Artisan’s Market are located directly below our singing space. And there will probably be vibrant fall foliage!When: Saturday, October 15, 2022, 10AM – 4PM. Please arrive early for COVID check-in.

Where: Hubbard Hall Main Stage, 25 E. Main Street, Cambridge, NY 12816. https://hubbardhall.org/ This space is handicapped accessible. There is a parking lot behind the hall, with handicapped spaces and an elevator near the back entrance. Street parking is nearby

Registration: Please pre-register here for this event. This helps us with planning and check-in.

Food: Yes, bring some if you can. Local singers, bring lots! We will have breakfast items, dinner on the grounds and a Social on Saturday evening. There are no cooking or refrigeration facilities at Hubbard Hall.

COVID-19 Protocols:

  • Please do not attend if you are not feeling well or have tested positive for COVID. 
  • If you were exposed to COVID within the past 10 days, you must wear a mask, regardless of whether you are experiencing symptoms (per CDC guidance).
  • Otherwise, masks are optional at the singing.
  • COVID vaccination and a negative rapid-test on the morning of the event are required for all attendees, and will be verified. Methods for submitting your documentation prior to arrival can be found in the Registration document.
  • Hubbard Hall has a tall ceiling and we will open doors and windows for ventilation.
  • We will immediately notify all attendees if someone tests positive for COVID after the singing.
  • We will keep your medical information confidential and destroy it after the singing.
