Reggie's Red Hot Feetwarmers have been together for over 20 years as a performing unit in the Capital District.  Originally formed as an offshoot, part-time project of Doc Scanlon, the traditional New Orleans sound of the band took off when it caught the ear of Peter Davis who asked the band to perform at the famed Saratoga Racetrack in 1985. Since then, the Feetwarmers have become well-known regulars at the Track and a constant presence in the local music & dance scene. The Feetwarmers' music represents the best of New Orleans jazz idioms -- beat, rhythm, syncopated melodies, improvisation and creative solos.

“The Feetwarmers ... pump out the sweet strains of Dixieland classics like Tiger Rag, St. Louis Blues and Muskrat Ramble. It's mighty tough to find unadulterated musical fun these days, but the Feetwarmers have got it down.” Metroland.

Chance Bushman and Giselle Anguizola

Chance Bushman and Giselle Anguizola are Internationally-known expert Swing dance teachers from New Orleans. They will be doing the lesson as well as doing dance demos live with the band. Don't miss this opportunity to take a lesson from them, and to see them DANCE.

Chance has taught and performed around the world and considers himself a social dancer first and foremost. Chance currently performs tap, jazz, charleston, and swing dances with two bands: The Loose Marbles in New Orleans and Reggie's Red Hot Feetwarmers in New York. His current projects include: Jazz Culture & Dance Gatherings, Studio At Colton, Taps Help Everyone, Rhythmic Arts Festival, and Fleur De Lindy.

Giselle - From the time she first heard Jazz, Giselle knew that an expression must be made.  To her, American Vernacular Dance provides this expression of Jazz music.  For the last eight years she has dedicated herself to the preservation of this art & continues as a researcher and teacher of Jazz Dancing.  She has won championships at ALHC, ULHS, NADC, CH, Rhythmic Arts Festival, and many more.  She is an active organizer of the L.A. Binge, a member of Mad Dog, co-founder of the line-dance “Hot Pockets”, and founder of the first all American "California Girl Jam," a workshop dedicated to women.  She hopes to inspire others to feel the music, search for their own expression, and add to the endless creation of Jazz Dancing.
