Volunteer Contract
You will receive free admission to the festival for 6 or 8 hours of volunteer work. You can choose from:
- Six (6) hours for
time between 7 pm on Friday, February 15th,
and 7 pm on Sunday, February 17th
-
OR eight (8) hours for time before 7 pm Friday, February 15th
- OR eight (8) hours after 7 pm Sunday,
February 17th
We ask that you take your commitment seriously.
Last minute cancellations of volunteers and "no shows" create organizational problems for crew chiefs and for the entire festival. If you sign in as a volunteer during the festival, but do not show up for your scheduled work, yet still attend the Flurry, you will be asked to pay for your ticket.
Please observe the following guidelines as a volunteer
- Remember that you are an ambassador of the Flurry.
- Be sure you know your volunteer schedule. It is your responsibility
to be there for all scheduled times.
- Be flexible regarding work schedule assignments. It is a difficult task for the crew chiefs to organize
schedules.
- Be on time for your work
assignment. If you are late, it will cause problems for others. If you cannot fulfill your scheduled times, you MUST contact your crew chief, as soon as you are aware of the situation.
- Don’t dance while you are assigned to work (there is plenty of time for dancing while you aren’t volunteering.)
A Flurry Volunteer is bound by the honor system. If you arrive at the Flurry scheduled to work and are unable or unwilling to perform your assigned job, please do not take a Flurry ticket from the volunteer sign-in area. (You must also contact your crew chief, or notify a Flurry representative at the Information Table.)
If you choose not to fulfill
your volunteer time commitment of 6 or 8 hours during the weekend, please go to the ticket sales table for a pro-rated
ticket price.
Thank you for your help and for your cooperation
with this policy.
By applying as a volunteer, you
are agreeing to follow the above guidelines.
