THE SITE - Silver Bay YMCA Conference Center

LOCATION: Silver Bay is about 90 minutes from Albany, NY or Burlington, VT, on the north-western shore of Lake George, with easy access via the Adirondack Northway (I-87). Amtrak trains stop 15 miles from Silver Bay and buses stop 28 miles away. Airline service is available to both Albany and Burlington airports. DIRECTIONS

SILVER BAY is situated along 6,000 feet of shoreline on the undeveloped side of shimmering Lake George and is surrounded by the magnificent Adirondack Mountains. The entire campus is a registered National Historic Site. Its 600 acres (with access to 1,000 more) are dotted with 65 buildings, from rustic cottages and lodges to the gracious 1902 Inn. Their stone facades, warm fireplaces, tolling bells, and rocker-filled porches reveal Silver Bay's charm and history. Throughout the grounds, both indoors and outdoors, there are numerous spaces for jamming, singing, or just hanging out. Not to mention DANCING! Visit the Silver Bay website at www.silverbay.org 

LODGING will be primarily in the Main Inn. Both private bath*and shared bath accommodations are available. Also, a  number of cabins for four (indicate lake front or dance hall side) are available at the shared bath rate.Somewhat longer walk to/from the dance or dining hall.  Indicate roommate where applicable. *Private bath - limited space - first come-first served- CHECK WEBSITE FOR AVAILABILITY

RATES (rates shown are per adult, double occupancy)

  • Private bath: $320 ($310 DFO members); single occupancy $415
  • Shared bath $285 ($275 DFO members); single occupancy $340
  • Cabin with shared bath: $285 ($275 DFO members)
  • Children's rates
    • Ages 0-5: $200 for private, $170 for shared bath
    • Ages 6-17: $260 for private, $170 for shared bath
